Wisconsin Korean War Veterans Memorial Ceremony and Program -
Sunday, June 5, 2022 - (CANCELLED FOR THIS YEAR)
The program is held annually in remembrance of the Korean War. Several veteran's groups from around the area participate, and we also invite State Representatives, Military personnel, Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) personnel and Korean Representatives to attend.
Veterans that had tiles purchased in their honor or memory are recognized in the ceremony amongst family, friends and members of the public.
Program duration is roughly 1 hour long.
This event is open to all and is held outdoors, rain or shine. To stay comfortable, we highly suggest that you bring any of the following items, appropriate for the forecasted weather conditions:
- Bottled Water
- Lawn Chairs
There are limited parking spots available close to the Memorial itself; cars are directed where to park by signs and Public Works personnel, which includes the Sentry Curling Center parking lot, in ditch lines along Maple Drive and in parking lots across the street at Village Park. We highly suggest that those who are unable to walk (somewhat of) a short distance are dropped off and picked up near the Memorial. Bathroom facilities are available for use through the Sentry Curling Center.
To get to the Memorial, take Interstate Highway 39 (I-39) to County Highway B in Plover. Head west one block to Village Park Drive. Turn left on Village Park Drive and you will be directed to parking areas.
